Aptos Ecosystem Activity Report for June
Introduction:
The month began with exciting news that Aptos CEO and co-founder Mo Shaikh was appointed as a member of the CFTC's Digital Assets Subcommittee. This is an incredibly significant step for Aptos towards RWA and real-world adoption.
Throughout the month, Aptos actively created a favorable environment for developers. Several guides were introduced for developers from the Solana blockchain, as well as a general starter kit for Move developers. This month, Overlai joined in developing on Aptos and is now building their application on the Aptos platform. Mereo is also preparing for its launch on Aptos. The boundaries of the chain are expanding with new integrations, such as Aptos being available on Chaininspect and portfolio tracking being accessible in AssetDash. It is worth mentioning that the delegated voting feature is now operational on GovScan, which is undoubtedly a significant development.
Towards the end of the month, the Aptos team reminded everyone that their collaboration with Alibaba Cloud in developing Web3 continues, and they are actively working on this in Japan. In June, a global hackathon was announced, along with an IRL event in South Korea. The global influence is growing, the audience and recognition of Aptos are constantly increasing, and the ecosystem is becoming increasingly attractive.
DeFi and NFT Sectors:
In this report, we decided to combine these two areas under one section as all the important news from both sectors were intertwined, making it inappropriate to discuss them separately.
The month was filled with numerous developments and new products. A new meme token, Donk, appeared on Aptos. They quickly gained support and trust, began conducting various campaigns, and formed partnerships. The launch of their token was successful, and the month was filled with anticipation for their AirDrop.
The Aptos Fomo team worked extremely well. At the beginning of the month, they received a grant from GUI, expanded their game functionality, and held several contests and events. The project's founder introduced the Meowsterpiece NFT collection, which will be included in the list of official products of their ecosystem. The Creatus team prepared three unique 1/1 NFTs hidden in boxes. FOMO Tap App reached the 3,000+ unique users mark in June. Development continues, with active encouragement of their audience and the Aptos ecosystem.
June saw several significant NFT mints. The leading liquid staking protocol, Amnis Finance, launched its NFT collection. The collection, themed around dragons, was presented with great finesse. In addition to launching the NFT collection, Amnis Finance conducted several marketing campaigns.
The native collection The Loonies was launched by the leading NFT aggregator Wapal. The collection can rightly be considered the main launch of the month. The minting process did not go entirely smoothly, and many things went off plan, but currently, the floor price of the collection has risen to 15 APT. Before the collection's launch, a unique partnership with Merkle Trade was announced, but details have not yet been provided. On the last day of the month, the Wapal team added the ability to earn four times more points for trading The Loonies.
Defy experienced significant changes. The platform is developing very quickly, regularly adding new quests, games, and campaigns. The team is also forming new partnerships and developing unique products. Similarly, the Eragon platform is developing successfully. The team actively develops new games, conducts various campaigns, and successfully launched their NFT collection at the end of the month. The NFT collection was created by the Ice Blue team and was very refined.
The NFT project Zaaptos launched its own token via IDO on Cellana Finance. The launch was successful. The team is actively developing its own NFT launchpad and working on other products, including collaborations with other projects.
Approaching the TGE, scheduled for the end of July, Merkle Trade is maintaining momentum. They conducted several successful trading seasons and competitions. The VibrantX protocol is also developing actively. They added a points earning system, rewarded early users, and their website now provides information about the upcoming IDO.
DEX aggregators on Aptos have found their followers, and the list of protocols has begun to expand, including Anqa. The protocol successfully launched and even conducted several high-profile campaigns. No discussion of the DeFi sector would be complete without mentioning the launch of Meso Finance testnet. They are also conducting several marketing campaigns and have already built a fan base.
At the end of the month, Echelon also delighted with news. They integrated with Clusters, taking a confident step towards cross-chain development. They also began working with Movement, which is another step towards cross-chain development and support for Move.
Conclusion:
The ecosystem is actively developing even in the current market conditions. Local projects continue their development, and new projects are also joining the ecosystem. Much of this progress can be attributed to Aptos efforts to create the most favorable environment. In addition, Aptos is working far beyond our ecosystem and stepping into IRL, which opens up additional opportunities.
