Report on the Development of the Aptos Ecosystem in July
Introduction:
This report will present a clear division by specific sectors. Each individual sector of the ecosystem has performed well and boasts a standout representative. This report will cover the news from each sector, including DeFi, NFT, and GameFi, which will be combined into one section, and the memetokens sector will be reviewed separately.
We should start with the main news directly related to Aptos.
Aptos in July:
The month began with a proposal to deploy Aave V3 on Aptos. The idea was well-received, and the community eagerly awaited further updates. Soon, the first global hackathon on Aptos was announced, with Developer DAO supporting as a partner.
It is entirely fair to say that this month was dedicated to the widespread integration and adoption of Aptos Connect technology. This is a truly useful product that brought Aptos one step closer to mass adoption.
In the middle of the month, applications for Aptos grants were reopened. Soon, two projects received grants: the DEX GALNT Exchange and Odyssey, the first DA/NFT minting SDK on Aptos. By the end of July, news emerged that CVPad had joined the Aptos ecosystem, and Aptos Labs announced that Semgrep now supports Move on Aptos.
On the last day of July, Ondo Finance launched USDY on Aptos.
DeFi Sector:
The most prominent in July was VibrantX. The month began with an improvement to the Portfolio Manager, making the platform even more useful. Then, a partnership with Taposcat was announced, in which VibrantX will be integrated into their game. Another significant move by the project was the integration with Panora, adding an swap function to VibrantX. By the end of the month, there were hints of a partnership with the Ice Blue NFT collection. Panora also shone brightly, conducting numerous successful integrations, including with Petra, Kade, Amnis, Meso, VibrantX, and Aptos Shaker.
Merkle Trade launched Genesis Staking and, as usual, conducted several successful trading seasons and competitions. Following Merkle, Anqa also added gaming elements and volume-based badges to their platform.
Econia Labs introduced a new platform, Emoji Coin, designed for the tokenization of emojis. The platform has launched in testnet, with the mainnet planned for August. This is undoubtedly an important step for the development of memetokens on Aptos.
The end of the month was quite eventful. Pontem launched its token, and Liquidswap users received an AirDrop. Joule Finance actively prepared for the mainnet in July and introduced a new technology called Alinks. At the end of the month, Meso launched on the mainnet and announced that they had passed an audit by OtterSec.
Meme Sector:
In July, Uptos Launch, a platform for launching tokens by Uptos, was introduced. Aptos Fomo maintained its momentum, hosting several events both independently and in partnership with other ecosystem projects. Throughout July, Taposcat shared details about the development of their new game. Donk spent the month distributing allocations for the upcoming AirDrop among various communities. GUI launched the second season of their Telegram application.
NFT & GameFi Sectors:
Regarding the gaming sector, at the beginning of July, Supervlabs opened pre-registration for their game, and the official launch took place on July 30, which was notably successful. Throughout the month, they also released a litepaper and reopened a round of capsule sales.
In July, Eragon rightfully stands out as one of the most active projects in the ecosystem. They started by launching a game on platform X and conducted several simple events. By mid-month, they had launched their gaming platform on the mainnet with a substantial prize pool. The platform has rightfully become the main activity hub on Aptos and intends to maintain this position. They also launched several campaigns and events.
The NFT sector was marked by the launch of staking for Renegades and The Loonies. The Loonies also announced several AirDrops for their holders. The Cool Sloths team continued distributing allocations among various projects and their communities. It is also worth mentioning the strategic partnership between Aptos Monkeys and Adot. Unfortunately, there was some sad news as well: Snype decided to shut down due to high expenses.
Conclusion:
With the launch of the Movement blockchain on July 30, many Aptos projects are expanding into the Movement ecosystem. This is undoubtedly good news, as Aptos stands to gain a larger user base, and ecosystem projects can generate additional revenue, positively impacting the development of their products.
